Installing addons

Themes come as .naritheme files, plugins come as .zip files. Get them from the theme store or the plugin store, you can also install them as singular files if needed.

Open Settings → Plugins, the last category. It lists every installed plugin with its icon, name and description: the ones that are on come first, with a check on their icon.

  • Install plugin picks a .zip. Installing a plugin you already have updates it and keeps its data and whether it was on.
  • Selecting a plugin opens its info, with its author, version, description and screenshots, and the Enable / Disable and Remove buttons. Removing a plugin deletes its folder and its data.
  • Plugins with settings show a cog button next to them while they’re on.

Plugins turn on and off right away, there’s no need to restart Nari.

If Nari closes unexpectedly three times in a row the next session starts in safe mode: no plugin is loaded untill you restart. You can still turn plugins on and off in Settings → Plugins to find the one causing trouble; the change applies from the next session.

Open Settings → Themes:

  • Install theme picks a .naritheme (a .zip works too).
  • Tapping a theme opens its info, with Apply and Remove. Only one theme is applied at a time.
  • Default goes back to Nari’s own look.
  • Dark comes with Nari: the same colors on a deep navy background. It can’t be removed.

Installing a newer version of the theme you’re using updates it in place.

Themes can bring plugins along. The first time you apply one of those, Nari lists its plugins and asks before turning them on. See Bundled plugins.
